Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026

Your photos

All of Mochicut's processing — viewing, orientation correction, conversion, and transfer to the Photos app — takes place entirely on your device, Mac or iPhone. Your photos and videos are never uploaded or collected, and we have no access to them.

The Mac app

The Mac app has no account, no purchase and no license check, so it collects nothing. Its only connection is fetching the update feed from mochicut.com, which carries no personal data.

The iOS app

Purchases: Mochicut Pro on iOS is bought through Apple's App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we receive no personal details from it.
Ads: the free iOS app shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the AdMob SDK collects device data such as advertising identifiers, IP address, and coarse ad-interaction data, handled under Google's privacy policy. If you allow tracking when iOS asks (the App Tracking Transparency prompt), ads may be personalized; if you decline, ads still show but are not personalized. In the European Economic Area and the UK, a consent form is shown before any ad. Your photos and videos are never part of ad serving.
With Pro: the app makes no ad requests at all.
